Front Camera Recalibtration
Safety First.
Crackmaster dealers are equipper with state-of-the-art technology to ensure your safety feature are working as they should. If your vehicle has these features a recalibration is required.
What do these safety features do?
The camera behind your windshield is responsible for notifying the driver when you are too close to another vehicle, when your vehicle comes close or crosses the road lines, if there is a vehicle driving in your blind spot, or may even apply assistive breaking and notify of a potential collision ahead.
Regardless of what functions your vehicle has, these need to be recalibrated when your windshield is replaced to ensure they work as they should.
When a new windshield is installed, the camera location may differ from its previous location. Even if only off by a few millimeters, the camera angle can be changed enough to effect the functions of the safety features. To ensure the safety functions are accurate and keeping your safety a top priority, we require a recalibration after every installation of a new windshield.
Recalibration may not be available at all Crackmaster locations, contact the location closest to you to learn if this is offered with a replacement.
